A question for entrepreneur minded people who like to think outside the box?

entrepreneur
I am a mother of 3 girls and I am looking to start a home based business. I have a degree in Business Mtg/Marketing. Most of my experience is in advertising. I have sold media and print. Although I enjoy the sales aspect my passion is in creating promotional materials. I am very good at creating PowerPoint Presentations, fliers, specification sheets, training material and mass mailings etc. I want to find a small niche area that will allow growth and prove to be lucrative. I am looking for ANY and ALL ideas. Nothing will be discounted. – Thank you!

Contact graphic artists, print shops, professional career “coaches”, local community colleges (professors) for referrals (be sure to refer back to them too). Starting out you really can’t be too picky as to the type of work you accept. You need to get your name out and show people the quality of your work. good luck

Small ad agencies are always looking for an experienced person to proof work or take on asignments the regular staff can’t handle.

Small companies that can’t afford a corporate communications department are often looking for someone to do annual statements, press releases, etc.

You can try markeing yourself as an independent contractor available to either of those sources on a freelance or contract basis.

Contact your local Small Business Administration and get into their network, either on the internet or on paper. I am a small business that cannot yet afford to hire out my printing, but at some time in the future, I will be looking for someone just like you! There are literally hundreds of places on the internet to list your services….start with MySpace and CraigsList. You can also contact your local SCORE office….they may be able to give you some tips on local networking. Good luck!
