There’s no point in even going to school if that’s what you want to do. And by the way, owning a franchise IS not being an entrepreneur.

I’d do some kind of business degree.
Forget the franchise thing. Get a job for a few years, then when it is financially viable, get a mortgage and buy premises for your smoothie shop.

Talk to a school adviser, then will know more than us

To have business of that kind you don’t even have to go to college! What you need are: Capital and strong determination! The word “FAILURE” need not be in your vocabulary!! Good luck!!

A business degree would certainly be useful, but degrees in marketing, communications, or psychology could also help you achieve your goal.

Consider looking for degree programs that include the following classes: micro economics (how to manage money for a business), macro economics (supply and demand), marketing research (how to develop new products), business writing (how to write business proposals and advertisements), and intro psychology (human desires and motivations).

You may be able to find customer service degrees or certification programs at community colleges in your area. For a field such as food services, you may also benefit from nutrition courses. And your work experience in retail and food services will be important too.

    Good luck!
